I’ve listened to this top one 3x and the bottom one 2x. You need to listen to these sermons. They will bless your soul, dig out sin, encourage repentance, and refresh you with the glory of the cross.
Dr. Denny Burk : Romans 3:21-26 — This is one of the key texts for our understanding of the Gospel. Paul clearly explains the logic of the cross here and I have heard no one explain the Gospel as clearly as Dr. Burk did recently. Warning — this is not for the academic or weak of heart, this is for those who need their hearts renewed by the spirit of God and who need to hear the Gospel (everybody). This is the glory of Jesus Christ, pure and simple. Here, the word of God draws near — in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I say all this, not to make much of Denny, but to make much of God’s Word. Dr. Russell Moore : End of David’s life — Dr. Moore knows the pastor and seminarian’s heart better than most. I’ve been chewing on the implications of this sermon for over a week now. The Holy Spirit has used it to dig out some ugly stuff, but in it I have been able to find the brilliance of the Gospel and the refreshing repentance that comes when we are confronted with that good news.
